I’ve spoken before about my love for pajamas from Primary.com (read through for a discount code AND A GIVEAWAY at the end!). They are made with 100% combed cotton rib, OEKO-Tex Standard 100 certified fabric, which means they are super stretchy and SUPER comfortable. My personal favs are the classic Primary Rainbow and the new black and white stars. Ironically, my kids don’t wear them for actual sleeping, but they are a closet staple that we use as a base layer for many different outfits. Here are some of their favorite OOTDs. Throw on a Tutu and Call me Fancy!
These tutus are also new to Primary.com! I sized up in the black one to give it a more maxi length look. In true Primary fashion, the tulle is super soft and can be thrown in the washer and dryer!
Rain, Rain, Go Away
What’s cozier than pajamas on a rainy day? I LOVE yellow for the rain because it is the perfect rainy day neutral color. These raincoats are also from Primary and can be found here. I found the matching yellow rainboots from London Littles in the “paper and string” print.
Jumps for Jumpers
I’m obsessed with jumpers and overalls! They look so effortless. The Primary pajama top is perfect to wear underneath. I found the black knit jumper on amazon.com and the overalls are from Old Navy.
Layers upon Layers
Since the kids live in their Primary dresses in the summer, we transition them to the cooler weather by layering with the Primary pajama top and bottoms. The long sleeve striped twirly dress is also new this season to Primary.com (shown in a brand new color Rose!). The best part is that if it gets warmer during the day, you can take off the base layers and wear just the dress!
Style as Eclectic as Them
To create a sibling set that isn’t 100% matchy matchy, switch up the tops and bottoms to create a coordinated look! I feel like the new black and white stars pattern plays nicely with the classic navy rainbows. LittleGray has the Dress in black over her pajamas while LittleSage is rocking a metallic skirt from Walmart that matches her sister’s metallic vest.
Extra Credit: Sibling looks without being Matchy Matchy
Gone are the days where I can buy two of the same item and expect both kids to be happy. As they get older, their tastes are changing and they’re less open to wanting to loo like stand ins for the Shining. My favorite part about Primary clothes is that they have multiple styles of clothes in the same color.
Mixing Stripes and Solids
I am admittedly obsessed with Primary’s new color “Rose”, so I jumped to order the New Tutu Dress. LittleSage is super into ballerinas which LittleGray is a little more casual with her striped taste.
Dress vs Separates
Sometime during the summer, LittleGray decided that she’s more interested in wearing separates than dresses. Plush Knit heather gray is a trending color this season and I was eager to try the new line from Primary. I ordered the Plush Knit Dress for LittleSage and the Plush Knit Top for LittleGray (they also have matching joggers!). I’ve been ordering all their clothes in size 4/5 so they can both fit into them. I did notice that the Plush Knit collection runs HUGE so I strongly suggest sizing down. I was impressed with the quality and thickness of the knit and, of course, the pockets!
