Holiday Santa Tours
We arrived around 1:50 and was still able to make it to the 2:00 tour without any trouble or waiting. The Tour also included the special edition Holiday Sanrio Button and crown. Throughout the wagon tour, our guide told us the history of the family owned Tanaka farms. We also got to try fresh veggies picked from the farm. On this tour, we tried baby maui onion, carrots, broccoli, celery, and romaine lettuce.
The highlight of the tour was the visit to Tanaka Land where we were greeted by Santa and a fresh snowfall of southern California Snoap. Exclusive photo opportunities included the miniature produce stand, corn-y tree full of Christmas jokes, and the clever melon-mas Christmas tree with strawberry lights. Santa was available to take photos in his shed with a beautifully decorated tractor. They didn’t have a professional photographer on site, but there were several Tanaka Farms employees who assisted with taking family photos.
If you don’t have the time to go on the Holiday Wagon Santa Tour, you can still enjoy the rescue chicken petting coop and the walk through the seasons corn maze. There were several Sanrio photo pop ups throughout the corn maze and a beautifully decorated backdrop in the center. The chicken petting zoo was the girls’ favorite thing about the entire day! The chickens were super docile and they were even able to snuggle a few of the chickens. I’m just grateful they saw Santa before we went into the chicken coop because I’m sure they would have asked Santa for a live chicken!
The Festival Grounds also had several carnival type games which took 1 ticket to play. Tickets were $4 a ticket or a book of 8 for $30. They also had a craft section where you could paint a wooden house or frame for 1 ticket. Food and drinks were also available for purchase at the Tanaka Grill. Definitely walk through the giftshop to see some of the exclusive Tanaka Farms x Sanrio merchandise. The tour ticket also gives you a coupon for $2 off a $10 or more purchase.
Consider buying your live Christmas tree from Tanaka farms! They had a variety of trees including the beautiful white flocked trees. You can view a list of the types of trees they carry on their website. The forest of trees made for a beautiful backdrop for photos. Tanaka Farms also offers delivery services within Orange County.
Our family was invited to check out the Holiday Wagon Santa Tour for free, but all thoughts and opinions are my own. You can find Tanaka farms on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. For a more in depth look at our visit, you can view our Instastory Highlights.
